Out of the 64,000+ disasters that the Red Cross responds to annually, the majority of these disasters are home fires, resulting in seven deaths per day. That’s why, between April 28 – May 13, 2018, the American Red Cross will kick off its Sound the Alarm campaign. Sound the Alarm will rally nearly 35,000 volunteers in over 100 communities across the nation, with the goal of installing 100,000 free smoke alarms in the homes of our neighbors; all culminating in the installation of the Red Cross’ one-millionth smoke alarm.

As a continuing partner of the American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign, and a NATIONAL sponsor (along with Delta Airlines) of the Red Cross Sound the Alarm campaign, Almost Family, its employees, and the communities in which we serve, have the opportunity to live our Mission of “making lives better through home care” by helping to make homes safer. By volunteering to install smoke detectors in your community, you’ll not only make a big impact in reducing home fire tragedies, but you’ll also walk away from the experience with the fulfillment and personal reward that can only come from the idea that you just helped save a life. Please, join with Almost Family and your community between April 28 and May 13, 2018 to help Sound the Alarm against home fire fatalities and injuries.

If you aren’t able to directly participate you can also Donate to the Sound The Alarm campaign here
